William B. Meyer, Inc. Awarded Competitive GSA Contract for Office Moving, Rigging and Library Relocation

William B. Meyer, Inc. has been awarded a five-year General Services Administration (GSA) contract, number GS33F042AA, that grants it the right to solicit bids for office moving, rigging, and library relocation from federal and state governments and qualified institutions. GSA, a niche purchasing group, negotiates rates for various business solutions for its clients.

The GSA contract award is highly selective. Despite the hundreds of applications it receives, GSA has only approved 114 vendors for its transportation and relocation division. Peter Oman, Director of Sales for William B. Meyer, Inc., led the effort behind the GSA application. His past experience in working with GSA vendors provided some guidance, but ultimately William B. Meyer, Inc. was selected because of its portfolio, reputation, and presence in the Northeast, and nationally. He states, “In the end, it was William B. Meyer, Inc.’s long-standing experience and unsurpassed customer service in the Northeast, coupled with our ability to support national business that awarded us this contract. GSA was impressed by our experience in Office Moving, Library Relocation and Rigging; further, William B. Meyer, Inc. has worked with government entities in the past. We are well-suited for a contract of this nature.”

William B. Meyer, Inc. has provided open market relocation and distribution solutions for government entities in the past. Its MEYER Library Relocation division in particular is well-recognized for its past work with qualifying higher education institutions. This, in conjunction with William B. Meyer, Inc.’s unparalleled customer service will develop a long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationship with GSA’s niche clientele.
